To Overseed Or Not To Overseed

How many courses in Southern Arizona have skipped an Overseeding in the past in order to give the Bermuda a break? This seems to be the recommended practice,i.e. to skip a 9 or series of holes every 3 years or so, but I was wondering how many clubs are actually able to do it.
